The Niu Lab is recruiting multiple highly motivated Ph.D. students to join and conduct research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, robotics, and agriculture. Under the supervision of Dr. Haoyu Niu, students will collaborate with NMSU's Institute for Applied Practice in AI and Machine Learning (LAAM), the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences, and the NMSU Agricultural Experiment Station. Each position includes a stipend, tuition coverage, health insurance, and conference travel support. The anticipated start date is spring or fall 2027.

The APECS Lab is looking for two Ph.D. students to join our group in Spring 2027 or Fall 2027. The research area is MLSys, with two specific research topics: High-Performance Data Reduction for AI and Heterogeneous Distributed AI Infrastructure. For the first topic, applicants are expected to have a solid mathematical foundation.
